Cancer represents a group of diseases which is characterized by an abnormal cell growth
which spreads into the tissues around. Even though it can start anywhere in the human body, the
most frequent type of cancers are represented by lung, female breast, prostate and also bowel
cancer. Studies showed us that the most affected countries are the ones which have either a low
or medium level of what we call human development index. Because the incidence rate of cancer
is in a continuous growth, many scientists conducted tests regarding the way sport can interfere
with this pathology in all its stages: prevention, during treatment and after treatment.
Preventing cancer represents a major subject these days. It has become evident that
physical exercises seem to reduce the incidence of cancer and also inhibits the tumor growth rate.
Studies showed that sport influences the chance developing cancer and it’s progression
especially through its effect on the tumor intrinsic factor. Fully understanding this process may
lead to successful changes in the current strategies of cancer prevention.
When referring to the prognostic for several types of cancers, there is a study that focused
