Andy, Jenny, and Parker share a sum of money. Andy gets 20% and Jenny gets 10% more than Parker. Parker spends 3/5 of his share. What percent of the total amount of money does Parker have left?

Let's say the sum of money was $10

Then, Andy got 20% of 10 = $2

That means Jenny and Parker share the rest, which is $8

Let J = the amount that Jenny got

Let P = the amount that Parker got

J+P = 8

and Jenny got 10% more than Parker

so, J = (1.1)P

substitute

1.1P + P = 8

2.1P = 8

P = $3.81

But he spent 3/5 and only has 2/5 left

so, (2/5)(3.81) = $1.52

$1.52 / $10 = 0.152 = 15.2% which the percentage of the total amount of money that Parker has left.
