A community of practice entails a group of people who come together to attain personal
and group goals/objectives. This group of individuals have a common concern, issues and a
common topic of interest. A community of practice (COP) also composes of associations of
individuals with a similar interest in a specific area of business or technology. COP is important
as it helps people collaborate and share knowledge, nurture talents and aspire to improve skills
and expertise in the particular field (Tremblay, 2018). COP also helps in connecting individuals
who might not have the chance of interacting, frequently or even interact at all. In this case
members are able to meet regularly, analyze different topics and projects thus initiating various
activities to better many areas in the corporation.
