This section should be approx. 1 page for the description and identification of each test manual

Create a short intro to this section and state the type and names of the test manuals here. Once you have stated the manual make an in-text cite for each one and each time you reference the manual, cite it- you do not have to cite in the chart below.

Recommendation and Rationale of Test Administration Manual

This section should be at least 3 pages in length

In this section you will use the above data to recommend on test manual over the other two. State the reason you would use the recommended test manual and give detailed rich descriptions and examples of why the selected test manual is superior to the other two.So we might see something like Test A has an elaborate and expansive address of administering to all people that includes attention to disabilities- example….. the other do a poor job of attending to support elements of persons with disabilities…examples…. I should see five or six comparisons that give enough evidence to rationalize your selection of the one test over the other. There is no right or wrong, the evaluator is just trying to see if you can substantiate the evidence you have gathered. Don’t forget to cite each manual each time you talk about it.

Final Project Psychological Testing and Assessment COURSE OBJECTIVES Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. 2. 3. 4. Describe the fundamental principles of psychological testing and assessment Discuss the major issues arising from the application of psychological testing Outline the variables that psychological assessment seeks to analyze Apply theories of assessment in the field of psychology BACKGROUND INFORMATION Many types of assessments, including psychological assessments, are administered by trained professionals. This practice ensures that proper procedures are followed to protect the reliability and validity of the test results. All legitimate tests used in psychological testing are published with accompanying administration manuals. These manuals detail the procedures for giving the tests and provide information on the test’s technical specifications. The specifications include information on how the test was developed and how it was validated, as well as information about how the results may be interpreted accurately. In this project, you will have the opportunity to select three online test administration manuals for group tests and examine their administration procedures. Then, you will recommend the most effective manual based on your evaluation of a set of specified criteria. PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS The deliverable for your project will be a research paper (suggested length: 6-8 pages) formatted according to APA style guidelines. The research paper will consist of three major sections, each of which is explained in more detail below: Part I: Written discussion of the purpose and importance of the test criteria Part II: Written or graphically represented comparison of three test administration manuals Part III: Written recommendation Be sure to read the instructions for each section carefully and address the required details in your paper. © 2014. Any unauthorized reproduction or distribution of this material is prohibited without express written permission. Students are expected to maintain the integrity of the assignment by refraining from reproducing or posting the assignment or their completed work where it can be viewed by current or future students. Final Project Psychological Testing and Assessment Part I: Discuss the purpose and importance of test criteria Explain the purpose of each criterion listed below and describe why it is important to include in a test administration manual. Tie your explanation to what you learned in your course as well as to what you may have learned from other credible sources and relevant experience. Test Criteria a. Purpose/description of the measure b. Author and/or publisher c. Test delivery type (e.g. paper based, computer based) d. Time allocation/limits for testing e. Testing environment (e.g. classroom setting, proctored) f. Verification of examinee identity g. Distribution to and collection of tests from examinees h. Testing procedures for examinees with disabilities i. Testing procedures for examinees with limited English proficiency j. Test security k. Reliability of test l. Generalizability of the results Part II: Identify and compare test administration manuals In this section, you will select and compare three test administration manuals. You should submit the manuals you chose as separate files or include the URLs for the manuals at the beginning of this section of your research paper. a. Identify: To begin, you will need to find at least three test administration manuals for individual or group tests. The easiest way to do this is to complete a web search for test administration manuals. The manuals can relate to assessments in the fields of psychology, personality, intelligence, educational achievement, health, or employment. The tests associated with the manuals can take the form of multiplechoice, short answer, essay, or performance tests or any combination of these. The testing manuals should be chosen from reputable sources such as well-known test publishers, professional organizations, colleges, universities, and state and governmental sources. The following are some examples of test administration manuals: You are welcome to use these examples, but are not required to do so.  http://www.nbme.org/PDF/SubjectExams/subexaminfoguide.pdf  http://www.fldoe.org/aala/pdf/2014TestAdminManual.pdf  http://www.parcconline.org/field-test-administration  http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/MFT/pdf/TestAdmMan.pdf © 2014. Compare: Compare each of the three manuals you chose on each criterion listed in Part I, providing specific examples from the manuals. You may write the comparison results in essay format or you may construct a detailed graphical representation such as a chart or a diagram. To earn a passing score in this section, you will need to provide substantive comparisons of the test administration manuals. That means that in addition to including descriptions of how each test administration manual addresses each criterion, you should discuss how each manual differs or is similar to the other manuals. Remember to include specific details to support your points. Part III: Recommend a test administration manual Based on the comparisons you completed in Part II, recommend one of the three administration manuals as being the most effective. For the purpose of this project, “most effective” is defined as the manual that would be most helpful to individuals who are deciding whether or not to use an assessment. You should keep in mind an appropriate audience when making your recommendation. In other words, target your recommendation toward the interests and concerns of the type of individual who would be deciding whether to use the assessment. Depending on what assessments you have chosen, the potential audience for your recommendation could be clinical psychologist, the head of a medical practice, the Director of Assessment in a school district, an Executive Director for a social work practice, and so on. Based on the test criteria, provide a well-reasoned rationale for your recommendation and support your reasoning with details from your research and comparisons. PROJECT SUBMISSION 1. A title page is not required for project submissions. Because evaluators do not see student names when reviewing student work, it is important that students not include any personal identifiers in their project submissions. 2. If your project requires a video, you should post the video to a free video hosting site like www.youtube.com, www.photobucket.com, or another free web hosting site. The © 2014. PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING AND ASSESSMENT PROJECT
Introduction
According to Eurnham & Jackson (2011), psychological tests are tools used objectively
to measure the one’s ability to perform a task or their general behavior under certain
psychological conditions. Noteworthy, various social media platforms such as Facebook have
introduced various psychological tests to be performed by their users, even though most of them
are often for fun and not based on real scientific evidence (Gan et al 2012). Likewise, the
credibility and validity of such tests are often questionable, underlining the need for a
psychological test to be credible and valid because otherwise, they would give false details about
one’s capabilities and performance levels. This paper will give a detailed analysis of three
psychological tests namely: The NMBE Subject Examination Program, The Major Field Test
(MFT) and The Fagan Test of Infant Intelligence (FTII). Ultimately, this paper will describe the
purpose and importance of various test criteria, identify and describe the above-mentioned test
manuals and recommend a particular test manual after a thorough examination of the pros and
cons of each manual.
Purpose/Description of the Measure
According to Scroggings et al (2008), the description of the measure refers to what the
manual actually tests for, and the kind of test the manual is designed for. This criterion ensures
that a user does not use an irrelevant manual in whatever test they want to perform. For example,
‘The Fagan Test Of Infant Intelligence’

PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING AND ASSESSMENT PROJECT
Author and/or Publisher
According to Butins et al (2016), the author of a test manual refers to the person or
organization that designed and introduced that particular manual for use. A statement of the
author is normally meant to give identity to the manual and for credibility purposes (Heukelom
2011). For example, Joseph Fagan is the author of the FTII.
Test Delivery Type
According to Wen et al (2017), this criterion describes the way in which the test is
delivered. It enables the user to be prepared with the right tools for the test. For instance, The
FTII is administered through a computer, making it necessary for users to be computer literate
(Wen et al 2017).
