For the reaction, calculate how many grams of the product form when 2.4g of Na2O completely reacts.

Na2O(s) + H2O(l) = 2NaOH(aq)

Na2O(s) + H2O(l) = 2NaOH(aq)

 2.4/63 = 0.0380 mole of Na2O  was used

 mole of NaOH formed = 2 x 0.0380 = 0.076 mol

 gram of NaOH = 0.076 x  atomic weight of NaOH = 0.076 x 40 = 3.04 g

63 is a atomic weight of Na2O 

 that cal be calculated  2 x 23.5 + 16 = 63

 and mole = given weight/ molecular weight = 2.4/63
