Apparently, most human beings engage in various activities some of which end up
subjecting them to pain. Consequently, they end up in hospitals to seek relieve through the
doctors prescriptions. In most occasions, the doctors tend to prescribe opioids to them. These
medicines are very efficient in relieving pain. However, some patients overuse them and this
becomes hazardous to their health. Long term use of these opioids can result in addiction,
overdose or even death. The misuse and abuse of these drugs is rampant in our society today.
This is made possible by the fact that there is the provision of over the counter drugs in the
chemists and pharmacies. Some of the pharmacists offer the drugs to the buyers without even
checking on whether they have been prescribed. This is dangerous because they do not record
the number of times that these buyers visit them. Since most of them are business oriented,
