Can a company deny you workers comp, if you failed to report the injury in time?

i had pains for a few days, didnt think it was a big deal but no sign of it fading, i reported it. but its been three weeks since and have yet to hear from the insurance company

a company can deny a worker compensation if the worker fails to report the injury in time. you are supposed to immeadiately notify the company about the injury as soon as possible. your claim begins when the injury is reported.it is usually 30 days.
