Since these lines are parallel, corresponding angles such as in #8 are congruent. And when a straight line intersects another line, the two angles formed must equal equal 180 degrees. If you know one, you can calculate the other, such as in #2. Sometimes you have to combine these two concepts, such as in #7. The angle adjacent to x would be 118, so x is 180-118.
