Personal Reflection
Before I participated in the quiz I used to know that I am an excellent communicator, but trough
this test I have learnt what it takes to have excellent skills in communication. Effective
communication needs an understanding of the communication cycle, which involves the sender,
encoding message, medium of communication, decoding and the recipient.
The result of the quiz
The quiz indicated that I am a capable communicator, with minor communication problems. I
have attached the results to the quiz.
Lessons learnt from the quiz
Communication is the process that involves passing of information from the sender, who first
encodes the message, then through the appropriate medium of communication sends the message
and the recipient decodes the information and may or may not give feedback. It is a loop that
needs to be complete in order to pass the right message and proper meaning intended by the
original message.
I have learnt from the quiz that the sender of a certain message needs to be well informed of her
or his objectives and the reason that the person is communicating. Through planning the sender
avoids verbosity and is brief in passing the information. Eff...
