Description
Fe2O3 + 3CO -------> 2Fe + 3CO2 which of the following formulas represents the approx number of grams of CO required to react completley with 200g of Fe2O3? Why is the answer (200)(3)(28)/160? I am prepping for an exam and havent had chem in over 5 years! please help!
Explanation & Answer
Molar mass of Fe2O3 is 160g and that of CO is 28
Here in the equation 160g of Fe2O3 reacts with 3 *28 = 84 g of CO completely
so for 200 g of Fe2O3 its (84) (200) /160 g of CO.
Please let me know if you have any other questions and best me if you are satisfactory.
