I have to write a poem for my speech class to memorize and recite. However, I am stuck and can not think of what to write or how to even get started. Does it matter if it rhymes?

For you writers out there, how do you usually start writing a poem?

Can anyone give me ideas on how to structure it?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Therefore, before starting the poem, you need to have all the necessary materials you need to include in your poem. like asked in your question, rhymes of the poem matters a lot. the main reason for this is because it creates the flow of the poem. therefore, Writing poetry can help you become more eloquent and improve your linguistic style

Thank you for responding to my question. However, next time you should probably cite that you found your information from WikiHow. That is plagiarism and you should provide the source of your information if you copy directly from another website or find information that you paraphrase.

I appreciate that you carried out research to answer my question, but I think I was looking for an answer that is less general, from someone who seems like they do a lot of writing.
