Motorcycle accidents have become very prevalent in the United States with their numbers
increasing consistently over the years. Recent statistical analysis has revealed that in 2005, 4500
motorists were involved in fatal accidents with this figure representing 10.5 % of the total
fatalities in the country (Lee & Seung 12). It was further indicated that this figure rose up to
4976 out of the 8.6 million registered motorcycle riders in the country.
