Think about the right to vote and whether it is important to you. Then use the space below to write a letter to someone from another country who has been denied the right to vote. Tell that person whether or not you will register and take advantage of your voting right when you turn 18 years old and explain why.

Dear Friend,

I hope you are doing well. First accept my regrets to the fact that you have been denied you right to vote, it is very unfortunate.

As for me when the time comes and i turn 18 years old, I want to exercise my right as a citizen and cast my vote. It is my duty as a citizen of this country to vote and i will do so. I also want to be able to choose the leaders that i want, the leaders who i think will be more responsible and who are going to protect my rights as a citizen. I want leaders who are going to be accountable to the country.

I hope and pray that one day you also get the chance to vote and elect your leaders. Be well.

Yours Sincerly
