Running Nonparametric Tests
Review the video, Nonparametric Statistics: The Chi-Square Test.Review Lessons 40 and 42 in the Green and Salkind text: Submit a 5- to 6-page paper using the Assignment Exemplar. Your paper must include the following elements: An APA Results Section for each nonparametric test. (See examples of APA Results Sections in Lessons 40: One-Sample Chi-Square Test (p. 260) and Mann-Whitney U Test (p. 270) of the Green and Salkind text. The critical elements of your SPSS output, including:A properly formatted research questionA properly formatted H10 (null) and H1a (alternate) hypothesisA descriptive statistics narrative and properly formatted descriptive statistics table (see page 261 and page 272 of the Green and Salkind text)A properly formatted frequency distribution graph for the one-sample chi-square (see page 262) and a boxplot for the Mann-Whitney U Test (see page 270)A properly formatted inferential APA Results Section (see page 260 and page 270 of the Green and Salkind text)An appendix including the SPSS output generated for descriptive and inferential statistics (for SPSS output, see page 261 for the one-sample chi-square and page 272 for the Mann Whitney U test)

Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance Toyota Quantitative methods Research Project
Task 1:Ask younger generation and older generation this question:“Is there a preference for the Toyota, Nissan, and Hyundai brand?”Test at two appropriate significance levels and comment on your findings. Specify the test statistic you use and its distribution under the null hypothesis. (This can be done as a chi-square test.)Task 2:A garment manufacturing company wants to understand how kids, youth and adults rate the quality of its garments. For this reason, the company’s management has decided to use a survey of its customers and has asked you to devise an appropriate random sampling scheme. You are being asked to prepare a brief summary.

Open the Heart Rate Dataset in ExcelUsing the classification of variables from Unit 1 assignment as qualitative, quantitative discrete, or quantitative continuous, match each of the 3 variables to the most appropriate graph type. (For example, qualitative data can best be displayed with a pie chart or bar graph; continuous numerical data can best be displayed using a histogram)Use the graphing functions in Excel to create an appropriate graph of the data for each variable. Remember to properly label and title your graphs to clearly identify what the graph is about.Your assignment should be typed into a Word or other word processing document, formatted in APA style. SOCI 332 American Military University Week 4 Cross Tabulation Paper
provide a brief introduction to your study to remind your classmates what we are reading about here. Include: 1. Your overall research question 2. The research hypothesis and null hypothesisNext, create a crosstab for your data and include it in the post. Be sure to explain your findings, including a description of the data, a calculation of the epsilons, and a discussion of the 10% rule. The epsilons in short are the differences between the highest and lowest column % in any given row. As long as one epsilon makes the 10% threshold, we'll deem two variables have "enough" going on to with each other to warrant further statistical analysis.Special note:When a variable is continuous (interval/ratio level of measurement), for example, age of respondent, we do not run crosstabs directly b/c it will result in a really spread-out table with lot of 0s and low frequency cells. Such a crosstab does not help us understand the data. The correct way is to reduce the level of measurement to either ordinal level or nominal level (group the numbers into categories) and then run the cross table. You do this by recoding (as you demonstrated in Assignment 1). In this way, your crosstabs will help us better understand data. Here is another example of recoding in a video.I have attached my SPSS information from my previous week's assignment as well as my last assignment for reference. If you go to the SPSS website you can download the software for a 30 day free of charge trial and do not have to include your card information.
