Introduction
In the modern society, movies and songs have become part and parcel of human social
life. In every social, economic, and political settings, people are watching movies and listening to
songs. The movies and songs help in clarifying some of the issues that people might have, they
also help in releasing any tension in times of crisis on war. In terms of sexuality and race, they
help in educating people on the dangers of racism and helping people understand their sexuality.
Even though people use movies and songs to pass the time, many of them do not understand the
impact the movies and songs have on the society. In this paper, the focus will be to examine how
movies and the songs impact and change the society's perspective on race, war, and sexuality.
The essence of this paper is to establish the correlation between movies and songs and the
general change in moral, cultural, and societal values.
Impacts of songs and movies on community perspective of race
According to a study conducted by Feagin & Elias (2013) to explore the mainstream
ethnicity theories, they found that some video contents streamed online portrays racism against
the black by the white. The study further reveals that some movie content tends to portray Black
people as a minority group who do not deserve similar rights as the White. According to Feagin
& Elias (2013), the movie has totally changed the mindset of the White against the Black. From
this study, it is clear that movies in the society totally erode how people thinks of others in the
society. It is interesting to know that there are some people who practice what they see in the
movies. If a certain community is portrayed in a certain way, they believe that is how they

movies tend to have more power to some people than mere campaigns and demonstrations.
