Question description

Discussion:Stereotypes

Now you will engage in a discussion with your peers about how stereotypes affect our lives and the lives of those around us.Take a look at a sample student response.

My sister was born blind. Many people think she is completely vulnerable or defenseless—which isn't the case at all!She deals with this by defying the low expectations others set for her. When people treat her like she can't do things because she's blind, it makes her all the more determined to do things on her own. It's frustrating to see people underestimate her when they first meet her, but it's also awesome to see her show them how wrong they are!
