Pakistan and India are two regions with geopolitical and ethnic tensions. Pakistan's population is mostly Muslim whereas India's population majority is Hindu. These two ethnic groups have rivalry dating back to prior to obtaining independence from British in 1947. At that time political leaders fought for this own country based on ethnicity, Pakistan more so. Geopolitically these two countries have an ongoing fight over Kashmir, a disputed territory. This issue has not been resolved for last sixty odd years and there is no end in sight. The reason is Kashmir has strategic value due to its location as well as for its natural beauty which is suitable for tourism industry.
