Introduction
Beijing is among China’s biggest capital city having a history stretch dated back about 3
millennia. The city is known much for its most modern architecture and prehistoric sites like the
ostentatious Forbidden City intricate, the grand palace in the time of Ming with Qing dynasties.
Nearby Beijing, there is enormous Tiananmen Square walker plaza; the site of Mao mausoleum
displaying a cosmic collection of literary relics, and the city has an estimated area of about
16,809 km². Beijing is located at the northern China, and it is administered as a direct-controlled
city under the central administration with about 16 suburban, urban, as well as rural districts
(Wong & Edward, 2016).
Geographical and Physical Location of the City
The Municipality of Beijing is surrounded by the Province of Hebei with the exclusion of
neighboring Municipality of Tianjin to the south. In addition, Beijing is said to be the second
biggest Chinese town by city population after Shanghai; and it is the country’s cultural,
educational and political center. Additionally, the city is said to be a home for the headquarters
of China's biggest state-owned corporations. Therefore, due to the above mentioned key feature
among others, Beijing is as well pointed out as one of the world’s most air polluted city. Such
form of pollutions results from both state-owned companies and private firms. This paper will
discuss how Beijing is making changes regarding air pollution to make the city a better place for
living (Mosbergen & Dominique, 2015).
China is a large nation that is well known as a notorious for being a chief polluter of the
environment. The China’s economic growth and development in the past few decades have been
the best ever among key nations across the world, that is the key aspect of why it has wide
