Essay is usally divided into 3 important parts:
Introduction
Body
Conclusion
In Introduction you may write :
Different types of speeches / Orations / ways of speaking / emotions of speaking / situation of speaking/ time of speaking / people whom to speak.
Audience should not just listen the speech but understand.
In Body you may write:
How speeches affect the audience giving some examples like speech of hitler that is famous. Speech of charlie chaplin etc. Then you may give example of your directors speech at some occasion that was inspiring and the people reactions towards it.
Then you may describe various instances and reactions that you must have seen and how it affects the orators and listners.
Then you may write abouut good and bad orators.
One quality of good orator is he cares about the reactions of the listner before speaking.
Conclusion
You may conclude by showing it is always advantageous to understand the listner and hence prospect his reactions and speak the way he understands better.
