A pair of equations is shown below.

x + y = 5
y = x + 2

If the two equations are graphed, at what point do the lines representing the two equations intersect?

A(2, 5)

B(5, 2)

C(2, 3)

D (3, 2)

I apologise it seems my equation did not come out right. The actual two equations are

x + y = 5 and

y = 1/2x + 2

not

x + y = 5
y = x + 2

yes there was a mistake .....................let me do it

May 1st, 2015

y=5-X

Y=1/2 X+2

5-X=1/2X+2

3.5X=3

X=3/3.5

Y=5-0.8571

Y=4.1429

(3/3.5,4.1429)  There is still a problem with the question......please check
