I am a student of Asian origin with my home country being Saudi Arabia. I moved into
the United States as a foreign student to further my education with the hope that I will receive a
degree that will present me to outside world as a competitive and skilled individual. Whereas
Saudi Arabia is as much a developed country, the education system is not strongly structured to
meet the demands of the global world. It is as a result of this that I sought to have a degree from
America as it would have a broader market appeal as compared to one from Saudi.
Unemployment is Saudi Arabia has been a preeminent issue with many learned individuals
lacking descent jobs from which to create a living. This is, however, not a problem that is only
experienced in the Asian parts of the world but the rest of the world as well, the United States of
America being inclusive. The research paper looks at how the provision of more jobs could be of
significance in eliminating the problem of lack of employment for graduates in both the U.S. and
other parts of the world.
Research Question: Is the creation of more jobs the solution to unemployment of graduates?
Background on the Issue
The United States of America have some of the most prestigious and celebrated higher
education institutions in the world. Universities like Harvard and Stanford are globally known
for their excellence in academic provision, something that has propelled the educational status of
the nation. It is as a result of this that students from other countries have sought to get their
higher education from America, with the number continually increasing according to a 2014
report on the U.S. News by Devon Haynie. Each year, millions of students graduate from across
all the 50 states, entering the highly competitive job market. The high influx of graduates whose
academic credentials render them highly competitive has resulted in the increase of
unemployment in one of the most developed countries of the world.
Unemployment in the U.S. is not an issue that has come up in the recent past but one that
