the notions of the fast-food restaurant are coming to govern more and more areas of the
American society including the rest of the world (Ritzer, 1993). Essentially one rationalizes a
task and separates it into smaller portions to make it faster, more efficient, and cheaper. The
majority of fast-foods joints work in this manner. Frozen preformed fries, burger, and the
food is distributed from a big shop somewhere, where on the same truck, pre-chopped
tomatoes, lettuce, and onions come in something that is similar to a clear garbage bag. No
