Attention is the process of concentrating on the environmental stimuli or factors that we
experience with our senses. There are four types of attention.
Selective attention: - This is the type of attention we are faced with several factors in our
environment and the brain chooses one that it can focus on. This is not very hard to achieve
cognitive ability and almost all individuals can apply it. An example is when a friend focuses on
listening to what you are explaining at a very loud outdoor auction (Cooper, 2016).
Sustained attention: -This is an individual’s capability to maintain the concentration when
