The ban on people from Muslim countries was executive order 13769 that was entitled
“protecting the nation from foreign terrorist entry into the united states” or otherwise commonly
known as the “Muslim ban.” It was a policy agenda on improving the security status of United
States by limiting people from those Muslim countries that sympathetic with extremists groups
or those countries that are considered to be a terror threat. The executive order suspended the U.S
Refugee Admission Program (USRAP) for 90 days, while at the same time asked the suspension
of every person who fails to meet the adjudication standards under the U.S immigration law for
90 days. The executive order was in line with paragraph (f) of title 8 of the United States code
1182 which makes provision of and discusses the inadmissibility of aliens into the United States.
It was a policy order that was meant to address the growing insecurity posed by terrorists.
Administration Support
Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores was very vocal in depending trump
decision to ban people from Muslim countries. She claimed that Trump was within “his lawful
authority” to implement the law as a way of keeping the nation from the threat of terrorism.
