In our case h of cylinder = length of the cube side a. 

R of cylinder =12/2=6

Volume of cylinder = pi*R^2*h = 3.14*6^2*20 = 2260.8cm^3

Volume of cube = a^3 = 20^3 = 8000cm^3

The remaining volume = 8000 - 2260.8 = 5739.2cm^3

1cm^3 = 0.001liter, so 5739.2cm^3 = 5.74 liters

Answer: 5.74 liters
