Question Description

Your text makes many points about the unequal status of women in the workplace, in education, in healthcare, and in politics. Terms are introduced like "the glass ceiling", "patriarchy", "gender pay gap", "sexual harassment", and we get nifty tables throughout the chapter that reflect this inequality.

Of course, the indicators that measure women's status relative to men's have been moving in the right direction But there is much progress still to be made.

And still so many questions...

Are there social barriers that women encounter - in the workplace, at home, in school - that men do not encounter?

What can our government - state and/or federal - do to help further the gains women have made?

How do practices in the workplace inhibit women's opportunities?

How does the way that Americans define "masculine" and "feminine" perpetuate patriarchy and further women's disadvantages?

Women in Power
Since time immemorial, power has been associated with men. They have dominated
dominant positions in every other department in the government, education sector, health sector

get appointed to head influential positions in the various departments. Their male counterparts
sometimes treat women in this dominant position unfairly (Healey 34). Terms of the glass
ceiling, patriarchy, gender pay and sexual harassment are used to reflect this inequality. This
paper seeks to answer a few of the questions rose.
Gender bias has dramatically reduced due to the harsh law and greater than before
attention on variety of issues. Nevertheless, contests persist; ones that take an altered shape and
form from those stumbled upon by preceding groups of womenfolk (Page and Jha). There are
many challenges that women face. There is a perception that for a woman to be recognized and
earn praise, they have to work harder than their male colleague does. The society dictates that
appearance in women is paramount and this does not affect the male coworkers. Women in
leadership positions are sometimes viewed as insecure and cannot command the male
employees, which does not apply to men.

The government should continue with its efforts to make the gains that women have
made bear fruits. According to Aya (56), in attendance there has been considerable advancement
in snowballing access to tutelage, but progression has been sluggish in cultivating the gender
compassion of the education structure, including ensuring textbooks promote positive
stereotypes. This is critically significant for girls to originate out of universities as citizens who
can shape an identical society. In some countries, there is a inclination to undertake that things
are beautiful as long as there is a same number of girls in schools. Women's work should be
given more value through government involvement, and more women should be given the power

Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
