Introduction
WebPT has been empowering physical therapists in clinics through its innovative
software. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, WebPT offers Electronic Medical Record (EMR), billing,
scheduling, and practice management systems to clinics (WebPT, 2017). The company has been
growing very fast. In 2016, Deloitte ranked WebPT at position 297 in the Fast 500 list (WebPT,
2017). To cope with the fast growth, the company has been looking for passionate innovators to
join their team. The role of my team at WebPT is to recommend ways of growing the company’s
workforce and improving employee relationships. My team will also advise the company on how
changes in the global environment impact the company with relation to Human Resource (HR). I
together with my team will apply our experience, knowledge, and skills to ensure that WebPT
succeeds in developing an innovative workforce.
This is a summary report of my team’s
findings.
Situation Summary
Currently, WebPT supports 8500 clinics (WebPT, 2017). The growth in the company’s
clientele has created the need to grow the company’s workforce. The company would like to hire
people whose personal values are in line with the organization’s values. Aligning the company’s
values with those of individual employees is very important. It ensures that both the employees
and the company are working towards similar goals and objectives. As the company operates in
the technology industry, it targets passionate and innovative individuals to fill different positions.
The company’s leadership and management will soon be leading and managing a larger team
than they used to before. There is a need to train the leadership and management team on how to
foster innovation and lead change.

Employee relationship is another problem that my team is addressing. For a company to
achieve its goals and objectives, its employees need to work together as a team. Employees share
a relationship with their colleagues at work. If the relationship is not warm, working
harmoniously as a team becomes very difficult. For this reason, it is very important to cultivate a
warm and supportive relationship among employees. WebPT is working on growing its
workforce. There is need to work on cultivating positive relationships between members of staff.
