Good leadership certainly motivates the educational institutions where coordination and
participation of all stakeholders are involved to impact on the students' achievements. Such
influential leadership is seen through department heads, coordinators, and school managers. The
leadership of the head teachers is a key role on how the teachers are motivated to progress in
their aspects because the teacher’s performance influences the students’ performance. When the
students perform well, the government also intervenes as a way of enhancing the motivation
through the policies and statutes it sets. It also gets to fund the institutions and offer scholarships
to the students.
Research Grants by the Government in Education
For students to perform well in school they need to have a competitive environment where
the school and district leaders get to organize research program for the students. These activities
support learning and promote academic improvement (Bruns et al., 2011). Further still, the
outcome of the research may end up meeting the national needs. The government through
departments such as Education Research and Special Education Research grant programs awards
such grants at a low cost. This helps the education institutions to minimize the expenses they
