as you drive home from the football game the number of kilometers you are away from home depends on the number of minutes you have been driving assume that the distance varies linearly with time suppose you are 11 kilometers from home when you have been driving for 10 minutes and 8 kilometers from home when you have been driving for 15 minutes.write the particular equation expressing the number of kilometers you are from home (d) in terms of the number of minutes since you left the game

(10,11)

(15,8)

-(3/5) is the slope.

d = -(3/5)m + 26

could you send the picture on how you worked this out or be a little more specific

The formula for forming an equation is

d = wm + b where

w is the coefficient or slope of the cure and is formed by...(11-8)/(10-15) = -3/5

we get b by substituting the values 10 and 11 for m and d respectively in the equation b = d + 3/5m

we get b = 26

Substituting each we get

d = -(3/5)m + 26

Hope you get to understand.
