A Puppy’s Life Documentary

People have pets. There has been an increased awareness of the need to have pets to families,
and this can be traced to the increased individualism that afflicts the current American society.
The major aspect of this documentary is to have an analysis of the life of Popi, a pet that has
been part of our family for as long as I can remember. The film will capture the days that the pet
has been part of the family structure, the many days that the pet has made our family life
complete, and the aging of the Popi that has seen it loses some of the glow. However, a reminder
of the incessant way that it continues to kick on, making our family just to wish they could
reverse some of the days that we have shared with the puppy. It is a daily worry, a fervent prayer
that the puppy will have the proverbial nine lives, and that it will continue to impact our lives for
as long as it is possible. At times, the film will celebrate the immortality of humankind, and the
need to always celebrate the special moment's people get to share while together as a family. The
film will focus on the journey of the family, the Popi being an integral part of the film and the
larger family.
Introduction and Background Information
Six out of ten Americans have an animal pet. It is a context that needs to be understood from the
wider societal perspective, and the problems that the nation has been undergoing over the last
decade. When one looks at the demographics, it is estimated that the baby boomers will be fifty
years and above by 2020, which means that the major population of the USA will consist of the
aged. The wider issue is put into perspective is that the birth rates in the USA have fallen from
around 70 births per 1000 women in the reproductive age in 2007 to the current model in which

there is a rate of 63 for every 1000 women at the reproductive stage. It is a 10% decrease, and the
scientists believe that this will continue in the coming years, which means that as more and more
Americans are unable or do not want to give birth, they have turned to keeping pets.
Interestingly, the data from the US Department of Health shows that this decrease has been
exclusively among the 15-29-year-olds, which raises a bigger question on what will become of
the American nation, and its posterity. The film will not try and moan about this, but it will try
and raise these statistical implications, and the need to have a national dialogue on whether the
pets, despite their importance, are enough to guarantee the posterity of the nation.
The exact opposite has been observed in the market of the pets. Since 1999, the ownership of
small dogs has doubled in America, and according to research that has been done by
Euromonitor, it is a trend that does not any signs of slowing down anytime soon. In fact, it is
expected that this will continue to be observed over the years, and it should be a cause for
concern to al patriots. Well, there are those who may say that the film will do the exact opposite,
of showing the marvel of Popi, but such questions are overlooking the fact that Popi lives in a
family with children. It is what Americans...
