As a result, the burden of birth control rests primarily on the woman’s shoulders.  Despite the increased cost and risk, six times more women have tubal ligations than men have vasectomies. One international response has been World Vasectomy Day (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. (includes video file, 3:29 min). This is a yearly initiative by health activists around the world to help dispel myths about this male sterilization procedure. Doctors participating in the event aim to perform as many vasectomies as possible, in 250 countries around the world, in 24 hours. Despite the vasectomy being a fairly non-invasive procedure, many men refuse to have it.   After watching the 2 videos, share your ideas about the following brainstorm question based on your opinion or your own experiences.
