700- to 1,050-word paper using this and other articles as a resource. Because
communications must be designed with the audience in mind, answer the following
questions:

considerations to remember given the different roles and people in the
audience?

Draft two
communications from the mining company announcing the accident, using what you
have learned about the audience and effective messages. One communication
should be directed to the families of the trapped miners and the other as an
internal news release to employees in the company. For both, identify the most
appropriate channel—face-to-face, e-mail, video, memo, and so on.
There is not a word count
requirement for the two draft communications, however they DO NOT count towards
they word count to your main paper. Your
paper needs to be 700-1050 words, as stated above, and then your draft communications
should be in addition to that.
Also keep in mind this
assignment is about how you would respond to your audience not necessarily the
specific events that occurred. I am not
looking for a detailed synopsis of the event, but how you would address the
different audiences.
You can combine part one and two into one Word
document. It is much easier to grade and
return as one document.
