For the purpose of this assignment, I have interviewed a sociology associate professor.
Three of the most important topics that we addressed is the relationship between class size and
professor-student interactions, education and student interaction on social platforms, and the role
of university education in the contemporary world.
Currently, there is the belief that classes will fewer students have positive effects on
student-instructor interactions and overall quality of education provided in class. For this reason,
I have decided to ask the professor whether he believes this is true and on what basis does he
have this belief. According to him, small classes does indeed seem to benefit the quality of
interaction between students and professors. His belief is not only based on personal experience
but also on research. From a personal point of view, the professor finds smaller classes better for
instructions, even at the university level. This is explained, according to him, by the fact that
smaller classes provide the opportunity to interact in a more direct manner with more students
than a larger class allows. For instance, in classes, it is often common for students and instructors
to debate a particular topic. If a class is very large, there will be less time to provide for each
