Using Pythagorean theorem we get:  a^2 +b^2 = c^2

                                                          7.2^2 + b^2 = !!.1^2

                                                         51.84 + b^2 = 123.21

                                                                      b^2 = 123.21 - 51.84

                                                                     b^2 = 71.37

                                                                     b = 8.4 (nearest tenth)

Answer: a. 8.4
