1 * 4/9 * 3/5 = 1/1 * 4/9 * 3/5 = 12/45 (when you multiply you DO NOT NEED A COMMON DENOMINATOR!)  Just multiply top (numerator) (4*3) and then the bottoms (denominator) (9 * 5).

12/45 is approx. 0.2666 or a little more than 1/4 (0.25 in decimal form).

Key to multiplying  or dividing fractions is that you DO NOT NEED A COMMON DENOMINATOR.

You DO need a common denominator when you ADD OR SUBTRACT FRACTIONS.
