Poor Performance Outcomes
There are issues I want to bring to your attention, that are currently affecting this department
and the hospital in general and that which if not addressed immediately will create very
expensive repercussions on the hospital. From the records of the hospital, we have noticed
with great concern that our reimbursements from the Medicare insurance have dropped
significantly. This has been one of our largest sources of income but currently, the numbers
have dropped by a very big margin.
This has been reflected in my department because the bed occupancy rate has also
gone down compared to other the last few months. This does not mean that people have
become healthier but it means that we are losing our patients to other hospitals. Patients with
Medicare health cover are choosing healthcare services in other hospitals. With the research
the management has conducted, we have realized that the quality of services we are offering
the patients have gone low and could be the main reason for the reduction of clientele. I do
understand that sometimes there is a lot to be done, but one thing that we are supposed to
