Acceleration on an Inclined Plane." When a ball is made to roll on an inclined plane, does the acceleration of the ball change with the angle of the inclined plane? Why or why not?

May 6th, 2015

The angle of the plane directly impacts the acceleration of the ball, in the presence of just a uniform gravitational field. When the ball is in contact with the plane, the force of gravity can be broken into components that are normal to the surface and parallel to it. The parallel component is what causes the ball to accelerate.
