According to previous statistics from World Health Organization, Australia health care
system is considered the best in terms of affordability, accessibility and comprehensive. The
health policy promotes good health for all Australians and is aimed at ensuring they all access
the major services in health and family matters including; family and children services, the aged
and community care services, programmes for the disable members of the society, initiatives
towards general public health, benefits from the Medicare and pharmaceuticals, funding for the
hospital and healthcare facilities and emergency services especially for those in crisis (Duckett,
Willcox, 2015). All these services are mainly public funded through general taxation. The
current health policy goals include working on to develop a new management structure for public
hospitals in the local areas networks, increasing the contribution of the federal government to
public hospitals, introduce the culture of reporting overall performance and strengthening the
