Description
Research and list relaxation strategies for public speaking. What has worked for you? While providing a list to start with is acceptable, please elaborate on some of the strategies within your list to spark discussion
Explanation & Answer
There are several ways to relax in order to give a good speech. Keeping a normal routine in the days before your speech is very important. Go to bed at normal times, eat regularly, and continue to do your normal activities. Keeping to your routine will tell your sub-conscience that there is nothing to worry about. Practice your speech in the same room in which you will be giving your speech. For example. if you are to give a speech in an auditorium, practice in the auditorium so that you can be prepared for the big day. Being fully prepared for a speech is way less stressful and will ensure that you do a good job. Lastly, deep breathing and yoga exercises really help to keep you calm. All of these strategies have really worked for me in the past.
