The New Darsait Sewage Treatment Plant
The New Darsait Sewage and Wastewater Treatment are one of the major components of
Advanced Wastewater Treatment Master Plan in Darsait Muscat, Oman (Hollender et al, 2009).
The new and modern sewage and water treatment plant offer the essential Master Plan and
advanced capacity for treatment of wastewater that accommodates and increases the flow that
will flow of wastewater that will enter the sewage and wastewater treatment plant. The major
treatment components of the New Darsait contain three separate buildings designated as the
“Inlet Treatment Building”, “the Biological Treatment Building”, as well as “the Sewage
Effluent Building”. The New Darsait Sewage and Wastewater Treatment is the part of the
sewage and wastewater treatment initiative that boosts the capacity of the plant to treat water
more efficiently and effectively (Yang et al, 2011). Unlike the old plants, The New Darsait
Sewage and Wastewater Treatment are completely and fully covered in facilitating ventilation
processes as well as to take care of the odors that come from the processes of treatment. The
New Darsait Sewage and Wastewater Treatment is located in Darsait Muscat, Oman that covers
areas such as Al-Bustan,Sidab, Muscat, Muttrah, Coastal Darsiat, Aynt, Bait al-falaj, Ruwi,
Hamriya, and Wadi al-Kabir
