In the contemporary society, poverty has become a social issue which needs to be
addressed as it leads to other social problems in the community. Poverty is a social issue that is
affecting many people globally. It is imperative for to come up with programs to address the
issue to avoid further consequences of the same. In the recent past, there has been an increase in
the rate of poverty, especially in the developing nations. This paper, therefore, seeks to explore
poverty as a social issue facing family in the contemporary world.
Part 1:
Poverty is an issue that affects many families. Ideally, poverty as a social problem is
caused by primary factors in a family. For example, many families are unable to access proper
employment due to lack of good educational background. This lack of skills and knowledge
renders many family members jobless hence making them unable to support their families. In
most cases, the structure of families has changed in the current society. For example, it is
