Find the SDlope of the tangent line to the graph of the polar equation r=sin(tetta) at the point where Theta=Pi/3

May 7th, 2015

we take   f(tetta)=sin(tetta)

we know :  y= f ' (x0)(x-x0) + f(x0)

we have x0=pi/3  so

f(pi/3)= sqrt(3)/2

and f '(pi/3) = 1/2

so : y = 1/2 (x - pi/3) + sqrt(3)/2

so :  y= (1/2)x - pi/6 + sqrt(3)/2  is the equation of the tangent at pi/3 of the equation r

Good luck
