Nancy bought 360 tropical fish for a museum display. She bought 8 times as many goldfish as angelfish. How many of each type of fish did she buy?

Which is a system of equations to model the problem if x represents the number of angelfish Nancy bought and y represents the number of goldfish she bought?

The sum of angelfish and goldfish is equal to 360 so x + y=360

It's said that number of goldfish is 8 times number of angelfish so y=8x

The second proposition is the right one.

Please take time to give me a nice feedback. I will appreciate. Thanks

Choose the correct answer.

Allan and Dave bowl together and their combined total score for one game was 375 points. Allan’s score was 60 less than twice Dave’s. What were their scores?

Which is a system of equations to model the problem if x represents Dave’s score andy represents Allan’s score?
