Keep in mind that customization represents a process that can potentially involve the incorporation of a wide variety of cultural elements that have been analyzed in our course thus far. Likewise, recognize that geo-targeting can take place anywhere in the world where you are trying to connect with your potential or recognized customers. Incorporate what you learn from the two readings above into your discussion and reflect on how Internet Marketers can synthesize what we know about our customers’ culture, with our ability to target specific geographic areas for messaging and customize our content. Geotargeting refers to the area you would want to target while localization restricts it to one place. They both play a strong role together within the context of the readings. The relationship is mutual between the two. Combination of these two concepts would strengthen the Internet Marketers way of marketing down the "T" of detail. Keywords is important when going local to international markets because the language barrier and the different meanings behind each cultures definition. Just like the Spanish language in Mexico from the one spoke in Los Angeles. Each have different slang and dialect, therefore marketing the same language with the little changes is key for the marketers. How can you add to the analysis conducted by one of your classmates with their first post? Can you identify additional elements of customization and geotargeting to augment your classmate’s investigation? How is geotargeting related to consumer segmentation? With the new information given this week, I can add to any of my classmates post that the way of marketing has a lot more inside work than is usually brought to the table. With companies going down to specifics of economy, education and home life when using geo-targeting and localization; anyone can see this research is done over a decent span of time. As far as addition elements, other than ones listed above there isn't much else to add than the research done overall. Even colour is specifically chosen in marketing. Geo-targeting and consumer segmentation are basically the same thing. Consumer segmentation is based on age, gender, spending habits and interests; which I believe is a more popular marketing technique used nowadays.
