Renewable Energy
May, Jürgens, and Neuhoff define renewable energy as the power from sources that are
not exhausted in the process of utilization. Some of the sources of renewable energy are wind,
sunlight, rain, tides, among other sources (2017). Renewable energy is naturally available, with
most countries globally resulting in the renewable energy to heighten the need and the demand
for power from increasing population and industrialization. Scientists and environmentalist
reveal that renewable energies are clean sources of power because the power is not harmful to
the surrounding. This presents a number of benefits attributable to the use of energy, such as the
reduction in the emission of greenhouses gases that contaminate the environment, although with
a few limitations toward achieving renewable energy. Renewable energy is one of the global
strategies to attain a clean and sustainable energy to suffice the increasing needs and demand for
energy.
Sources of Renewable Energy
Renewable energy is an adequately available source of power, which adoption could
result in sustainable energy globally. Most of the renewable sources of energy are accessible
naturally, for instance, the solar, wind, water among other sources and converted to electric
power distributed to the national grid. For example, solar panel harness the solar energy
converting the sunrays into electrical power while the wind energy is converted using the wind
turbines that propel the electric dynamo into converting the wind energy into electric power.
Similarly, rainwater flows into rivers where the kinetic energy in the moving water converts into
electric power through a process kn...
