Corporate Social Responsibility and the Value Chain
Corporate social responsibility includes key measures that an organization puts in place to
ensure that it is highly engaged in its external business engagement. An organization is effectively
defined by the key strategies that they put in place in ensuring that they are highly engaged within
the society within which they operate. Corporate social responsibility plays a key role in
maintaining greater organizational focus in improving the overall operational environment as well
as customer engagement that is a crucial measure in improving the overall business organizational
environment. Corporate social responsibility has become a key part of the business development
process in recent years based on a higher level of engagement within the market. Value chain
processes within an organizational context are developed with a crucial focus on the need to
incorporate an effective corporate social responsibility which can have a significant positive
impact on the organizational development process.
An organization should ensure that its stakeholders are satisfied and effective committed
to the business agenda. Incorporating corporate social responsibility is on one of the well-engaged
measures that have been put in place in striving to improve the overall organizational focus. The
unique nature of social responsibility attracts significant interest within the environment under
which the business is seeking to put into focus a well-engaged operational platform. Developing a
successful social responsibility is becoming a difficult aspect since companies are engaging in
social responsibilities, not as a reward to its customers, but it is being used to attract market based

social responsibility in value chain process improves the overall organizational focus within a
given industry (Presutti, Jr., & Mawhinney, 2013).
Part One - Compelling Argument
Firms tend to incorporate positive measures and strategies to ensure that they can establish
a positive relationship with the public. This is an important move in business development since it
focuses on basic elements which define an organization value chain processes and ensure that there
is a greater focus on the strategies that need to be put in place in improving the firm's development
within a given industry. Key strategies that are developed by an organization are aimed at creating
an overall positive focus on the development process of an organization. Integrating corporate
social responsibility means that the company must be in a position to effectively understand the
industry environment and how it works so that it can incorporate strategic programs and
considerations, which positively reflect the overall positive well-being. Corporate social
responsibility presents a real chance where the company can be able to develop its brand and
improve its overall operations (European Commission, 2012).
The value chain, in this case, focuses on ensuring that it creates a well-engaged
environment under which an organization can be able to establish key social responsibility
strategies without having any detrimental impact on the firm’s operational environment. Corporate
social responsibility to do not form primary focus within firm’s management but are advanced
measures that an organization puts in place in ensuring that they maintain critical focus on the
underlying issues, which are being developed within an organizational context. Firm’s
performance is highly linked with how it can organize its operational strategy to include these key
operational measures, which have a greater influence on the organization development agenda
(Ferrell, Thorne & Ferrell, 2011).
