Reversing inequalities

In a case such as -2>5x, if I then diving -2 by 5, should this cause the inequality to reverse? I'm aware that if I was dividing by a negative number then it will reverse but not sure in this case.

sorry, dont quite understand. Will the inequality reverse if I divided -2 by 5? so basically from -2>5x I will then get -2/5 <x

Is this right? and can you explain the principle of why this is the case to me please?
