I am taking an English Composition course in college. I can not seem to understand what these three views are. Can someone please give me a brief explanation of each?

In summary...

Classical view would be most appropriate when one wants to make the intended audience to think.

Cognitive view is when the reader gains insight through the writers thought process. Its appropriate for marketing as it gains the readers attention.

Social veiw is more specific and dependent on what someone is writing.

cognitive view is better such that it allows the write to develop ideas and then communicate to the reader though his own words.

Thank You. Do you know what an example of each of the views would be.

Classical view is the same as classical writing

Cognitive view is like when you write about a concept that you want people to agree or disagree with.

Social view is like passing along news or a story.
