How can you Incorporates diversity in a classroom for 1 and 2 years old.Meets of the needs of children with special needs for art and reading activity. I have 2 special needs kids in my class so how do I add them to the art and reading and painting.
Since you have a classroom for infants, I would personally make sure to give a little more attention to the children with special needs. Being an infant, they have not developed the idea of "special treatment" yet. I am not saying to spend all the time with them, but a way to incorporate them is to put aside different activities that they can do at their own pace to help them develop. Finger painting is an option, while messy, with washable paint on a cheap $1 tablecloth- it is not so bad. For reading- I would suggest reading to the entire class, or giving each infant a small handout of what you are reading, so they can start recognizing the letters. It really depends on what special needs they have. I hope my advice helps. Please message me on this chat with any questions if you have any. Thank you for reading my ideas.
