Description

For the ACTUAL Discussion Board posts (labeled as such) you will be graded using the following information:

Each DB is worth 5 points (5%) of your grade.

Basic points breakdown (note that there are always variations or possibility of fractions of points):

0 points – You did not respond to the question. This means that you literally had no response, or that you answered tangentially.

1 point - You gave a response that was personal, but did not indicate in some way that you are learning material. *This would include telling us a story about something that happened to you that sort of relates to the topic at hand. You might also earn this if you cite information, but it doesn’t demonstrate any learning and looks like it was just thrown in.

2 points – You gave a response that had substance, but it was less than 3 sentences, or had substance, but you forgot to CORRECTLY cite the material. You might also earn in the 2s if you really misstate the material or post outside sources that are not credible or taken out of context.

3 points – You posted at least a full paragraph and you remember to cite our text (correctly). This means more than three sentences, examples, and full explanations.

4 points – Your response includes not only your own opinion, but you connected to thetext and the outside world (in a credible way). Last, you included a link to a credible article (think academic) about the topic. Use of items like Buzzfeed, Wikipedia, etc. will impact your grade.

5 points - Your response includes not only your own opinion, but you connected to thetext and the outside world (in a credible way). Last, you included a link to a credible article (think academic) about the topic. Your response should be at least a paragraph and should also include a link to a video or a related image.

this is the question: These past few weeks we have been studying nonverbal behaviors, habits, and characteristics. How do you think that this study has impacted you as a person? Friend? Significant other? What impact does studying nonverbals have on you in terms of persuasion?

What types of Expectancy Violation or Confirmation have you experienced? Do you think you will recognize them more? Does recognition always change your behavior for the better?

The text book will be the nonverbal communication reader, third edition . i do not have it on hand
